You’ll need to ensure that you have the correct version of Minecraft downloaded in your launcher in order to play. The server version is always visible to the right of the logo, with a little world icon. In order to accomplish this you will need to configure your Minecraft launcher to use this version.
There are other launchers out there, but you should already be comfortable with using those if you’re already using them, so we only provide instructions for the default launcher that comes with the Minecraft client.
How do I do this?
When you launch Minecraft you are greeted with a window. You may have to log in with your email address first to see this.
On the left you will see a dropdown list and some buttons to create or edit profiles. We recommend that you create an entirely new profile for WarnerCraft.
Click on ‘New Profile’ and enter a sensible name. Ensure the the selected version in the dropdown below matches the current server version.
Click on ‘Save’. You will be able to select this new profile from the dropdown list, and on the right-hand side of the window you should see a confirmation that you’re ready to download (or play) the version you selected.
You can then hit the big Play button and join the server!
When the server version changes, just select your profile from the list, click on the Edit button and change the version as before, and you’ll be back in no time!
